'Bayern Munich Got Their Bundesliga Mojo Back'

'Bayern Munich Got Their Bundesliga Mojo Back'

With both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund getting their mojo back ahead of Der Klassiker on the weekend, DW Sports correspondent Kres Harrington previews the clash and discusses which side needs the win more.

Following disappointing results in recent Bundesliga matches, Bayern bounced back against FC Koln, winning 5-1 thanks largely to braces from star striker Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry.

Prior to that fixture, the Bavarians had dropped points against Arminia Bielefeld in an entertaining 3-3 draw, and in a 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.

With pressure from RB Leipzig, who are in second place on the log, Bayern kept their composure to stay at the top the leaderboard with a dominant display this past weekend.

In the latest episode of the SL Podcast's "The Bundesliga Connection", DW Sports correspondent Kres Harrington breaks down the impressive performance, highlighting Gnabry and Thomas Muller's returns to the team, and also discusses Dortmund's improved form thanks an inspired Jadon Sancho.
