A Zamalek source revealed the details behind the Welshman's visit to the White Castle as reports suggest Pulis is considered for Zamalek's new sporting director, Masrawy reported.

"Tony Pulis’ visit to Zamalek will be to discuss future cooperation between us," the source revealed according to Masrawy.

"Naturally, he is one of the leading candidates for the role of Sporting Director, given his experience in football development."

The source reportedly said Pulis was going to be invited to the club as a guest to negotiate the possibility of becoming the new sporting director.

"Tony Pulis will arrive in Cairo early Tuesday morning," the source said.

He added: "He will get to know the components of Zamalek Club in person during his visit, attend the White Knights' match against Pyramids, and then we’ll negotiate with him about potentially taking up the role of Sporting Director or Head of Football Development at the club.”

The source added that Hossam Ahmed Mido, a member of Zamalek's planning committee, said the club met with coaches from English schools to discuss selecting a new sporting director.

Pulis was considered for his wealth of experience having coached Stoke City, Crystal Palace, and West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

"The planning committee aims to fully develop the football sector at Zamalek," the source said, according to Masrawy.
