Previous reports suggested that the Portuguese coach was set to become the new Red Devils manager after the Egyptian side sacked Marcel Koller.
Negotiations were reportedly underway between Gomes and the club for the Portuguese manager to take over ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The ex-Zamalek boss reportedly responded to the Al Ahly links and rejected the claims that he would join the side, saying he remained committed to his current side, Al-Fateh, Ahram Online reported.
"I’m under contract with Al-Fateh," Gomes said.
"I respect Al-Fateh. My focus is completely here. I’m not thinking about anything else—my heart, body, and soul are with Al-Fateh," he added.
The 54-year-old reportedly dismissed the links and maintained his focus was on the Saudi side.
"In football, anything can happen, but I’m not thinking about that," he said. "I’m only focused on helping Al-Fateh achieve our targets—nothing more.”
Gomes was among a list of candidates for the Al Ahly role after his impressive performances with the Red Devils rivals, Zamalek.
