Simba SC have confirmed that they will head to Egypt to embark on a four-week intensive pre-season plan ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 2024/25 season was a successful one for Simba in their first campaign under Fadlu Davids' guidance. The South African led the Reds of Msimbazi to a runners-up finish in the Tanzanian Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup.
Davids will be hoping to go one better next season, and he outlined his intentions by making several big signings including former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck.
According to Tanzania's The Citizen, Simba headed to Ismaila, Egypt for their pre-season plans as the teams looks to test themselves against high-profile Egyptian Premier League sides.
"It's four weeks since of focused and intensive work, leading up to Simba Day and the final phase before the season kicks off," Simba Media officer Ahmed Ally said.
Davids also revealed the importance of the pre-season camp and said it was a crucial opportunity for new players to be integrated into the squad.
"We have 28 days to blend the squad, strengthen the players physically and mentally, and implement our tactical framework," Davids said.
"This camp is about building a cohesive structure, instilling a winning mentality, and preparing for every challenge that lies ahead," the former Maritzburg United coach said.
The 44-year-old admitted that the pre-season camp was about ensuring his squad was ready for the upcoming domestic and continental campaign, as the team returns to the CAF Champions League.
Simba's pre-season plans include morning fitness drills and tactical sessions to enhance football intelligence and improve decision-making.

While their opponents have not yet been announced, it is reported that the Reds will play either four or five games while in Egypt.
