Jose Riveiro has reportedly told Al Ahly that he wants another member of their current technical staff to leave before he officially takes the reins of the club.

The former Orlando Pirates boss is rumoured to be on the verge of signing for the record African champions.
It has been suggested that the club are awaiting the end of their league campaign before officially announcing the Spaniard as their new head coach, but in the meantime, it seems the Vigo native is assembling his technical team before the club jets off to the United States of America for the FIFA Club World Cup.
According to El Watan Sports, however, Riveiro harbours no ambitions of retaining any of the existing assistant coaches currently at the Club of the Century.
The same report claims that the three-time MTN8 winner has already rejected the idea of keeping current interim boss Emad El-Nahas and goalkeeping coach Michel Iannacone, and it has now been claimed that the 47-year-old also does not want to retain Mohamed Shawky.
Shawky only began his role as assistant at Ahly in April, but it appears Riveiro is planning a major overhaul of his support staff ahead of his seemingly imminent arrival at the Red Devils.

It is understood that the 12-time CAF Champions League winners have asked Riveiro to halt any discussions about excluding Egyptian coaches until after the league campaign is over, as they feel the presence of a native coach is necessary for the club’s success.
