The Sky Blues enjoyed a successful 2024/25 season that culminated in victory in the CAF Champions League final against Mamelodi Sundowns.
As the club prepares for the new season, there have been rumours circulating that some top stars are set to leave the club. Pyramids' head of transfers, Amr Bassiouny, addressed the rumours regarding some of the team's departures, according to Yallakora.
"We value and appreciate our relationships with all clubs, but ultimately, we only take transfer-related steps based on the best interests of our team," Bassiouny said.
The Egyptian said the club was open to making transfers with rival clubs but maintained that the priority would always be the club's benefit.
"Every transfer window, there are many rumours and false reports about players leaving or us signing new ones. Most of these turn out to be untrue," Bassiouny added.
He continued: "We’re moving forward with a clear strategy to strengthen our squad only with players we need. Our transfer decisions are based on this vision, and as usual, no one hears of any deals until they’re officially announced."
Bassiouny concluded by saying the Pyramids' strategies have paid off in recent years and the club is determined to win more trophies next season.
"Pyramids’ strategic planning and targeted squad-building efforts have paid off, resulting in the club’s first-ever CAF Champions League title last season," he said.

"Our goal now is to keep winning more trophies in the new season. That’s why we remain committed to our vision—and our transfer policy will not change under any circumstances," he concluded.
