MC Alger coach Rulani Mokwena has reportedly identified a new transfer target to join the Algerian side amid several departures that have already taken place.

Previous reports indicated that Akram Bouras was set to leave The Mouloudia after attracting interest from the Bulgarian side Levski Sofia, while Zakaria Draoui has also left the club.
According to Ech-Chaab, Mokwena has identified Houssem-Eddine Merezak from the Russian side FC Makhachkala to replace Bouras, as he would be a valuable addition to the squad.
However, the reigning Ligue 1 Professionnelle champions face difficulties signing the 25-year-old as the Russian side has set high demands for the player, who they consider a key asset.
The Algerian club is determined to replace Bouras, who played a significant role in the team's success last season, and Merezak is someone who can replace the outgoing Algerian's technical ability.
Burkina Faso international Mohamed Zougrana is also reportedly the subject of interest from the UAE side Al-Wasl, and the 23-year-old has asked the club's management to consider the offer.
Should Mokwena lose three key midfielders in Bouras, Draoui and Zougrana, there will be pressure to find suitable replacements by the time the new season starts, although the departures would help ease the financial situation with the club.
It's been a difficult start for Mokwena in Algeria as the former Wydad AC boss has not had his full squad at his disposal, but the team will embark on a second pre-season training camp in Tunisia, where the ex-Sundowns coach will allow his players time to rest and get their fitness up.
The Johannesburg-born coach has not yet had his full squad available due to some members of his squad currently on national team duty at the African Nations Championship (CHAN), while others are set to leave.

The People's Club management will now have to make a decision quickly, but the lack of finances available and the need to sign replacements on short-term notice are still obstacles.
