Rulani Mokwena may have to wait until September to take charge of his first MC Alger game due to stadium unavailability.

Mokwena's opening league game was set to reignite his rivalry with Sead Ramovic, but the league decided to postpone the game as both sides were missing key players due to Algeria's participation in the African Nations Championships (CHAN).
However, it appears as though MC Alger fans may have to wait one more week to witness the former Wydad AC boss take charge of the side as the new Kharit El-Khalitos stadium failed to pass inspection after a visit by the stadium accreditation committee, according to Sportnews.
There was a proposal by some at USM to move the game to the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium. The game is scheduled for next Sunday (31 August) pending the confirmation of the venue.
The publication confirmed that the game will not take place at the Omar Benranh Stadium. Meanwhile, discussions between the two sides have raised the possibility of hosting the game at the Ali Ammar Stadium, with equal ticket allocations for both sides.
The postponement could be a welcome boost for Mokwena's side as it would allow the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss to work with the Algerian players on international duty, having failed to do so since taking charge.
The South African is aware of their importance to the team and would be hopeful to have more time to work alongside the players before his first official game in charge.

This weekend's game would be the first for both sides after USM's clash against Josef Zinnbauer's JS Kabylie was also postponed due to player unavailability.
