The reigning CAF Champions League holders are said to be considering parting ways with head coach Krunoslav Jurcic following the club’s poor start to the new season.
The Croatian tactician etched his name into the club’s history by guiding them to their first-ever major trophy, lifting the Egyptian Cup in the 2023/24 campaign. He then followed that up by conquering the continent last term, defeating Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League final.
Despite those achievements, the club’s hierarchy is reportedly growing disillusioned after a slow start to the 2025/26 campaign, with Pyramids winning just once in their opening four league matches.
Reports earlier this week suggested Jurcic could be dismissed after their next league fixture against Al Ahly, with former Red Devils boss Marcel Koller tipped as his potential successor. The Swiss tactician enjoyed huge success during his three-year spell with the Club of the Century, winning 11 trophies according to Transfermarkt.

However, according to El Watan Sports, Koller has no desire to return to club management at present, citing the intensity of his time with Ahly. The report further claims that Pyramids have yet to make any formal approach to the agency representing the Zurich-born coach.
