The 32-year-old forward has been on the lookout for a new club since parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs in June, following the expiry of his two-year deal at Naturena.
While he had been linked with a possible return to Marumo Gallants or even a switch to Siwelele FC, Siya sources have indicated that talks with the Chilli Boys are at an advanced stage.
“Chippa are very serious about Ranga,” a source close to the situation told the Siya crew. “Negotiations are progressing well and if everything goes according to plan, he should be playing his football in Gqeberha this season,” said the source.
Chippa have already been busy in the transfer window, adding the likes of Somila Ntsundwana, Harold Majadibodu and Justice Figareido to strengthen their squad.
