Following Mohamed Boudrika’s dramatic resignation and subsequent jailing, another former Raja Club Athletic president has now also been handed a prison sentence.

Boudrika, who was arrested in Germany last year while reportedly en route to Hamburg to persuade then-coach Josef Zinnbauer to remain at Raja amid links to Saudi Arabia, was jailed upon his arrival in the country. According to AfricaSoccer.com, he faced charges related to fraud, forgery, and issuing bad cheques.
Now back in Morocco following his extradition, the 42-year-old has officially been sentenced to five years in prison.
However, Boudrika is not the only former Green Eagles chief in legal trouble. Casablanca’s Court of Appeal has sentenced Abdelaziz El Badraoui — another former Raja president — to six years in prison after finding him guilty of irregularities in the management of public contracts and violations of local authority regulations.
While charges of forgery were dismissed, El Badraoui has denied any wrongdoing. He maintains that his company, Ozone, is owed 10 million dirhams (R49 million).
He said: “The charges against me are heavy. Based on the documents in the file, I still do not know my real position in this case.”

The same report claims the verdicts are part of a broader anti-corruption drive targeting high-profile individuals in Morocco, as the state intensifies efforts to promote accountability in both political and sporting spheres.
