Closer To Debuts: Why New Downs Signings Didn't Play Yet

Closer To Debuts: Why New Downs Signings Didn't Play Yet

Kobamelo Kodisang is waiting to make his Mamelodi Sundowns debut.

None of Mamelodi Sundowns' new signings featured in their opening match of the season on Sunday, but the Siya crew understands that a few of them could be ready to make an appearance in the MTN8 semi-finals.

The semi-final matches are set to be played before the end of the month and Sundowns are working behind the scenes to get the new acquisitions ready for action, with Stellenbosch FC as their opponent.

Sundowns signed Kobamelo Kodisang, Kegan Johannes, Asekho Tiwani and South American forward Arthur Sales. The club has been working on the fitness of Kodisang and it's believed that he is working hard to get into the right shape so that he can be available for selection.

The club has been sorting out the work permit of Sales and it's believed he has finally received it, making him available for selection for their next match. This will give the technical team more options in attack as they look to start the season off well with silverware in the cabinet.

Tiwani is available for selection, but has to fight for his place in the team, with Terrence Mashego believed to be the first choice at left back for the technical team.
