In all sports around the world we hear of athletes who do certain things before their performance. Whether it’s a certain song they listen to, or a certain way in which they do their hair - somehow it’s become important for them to repeat that action every single time.

It’s believed that the Portugal and Real Madrid superstar gets a haircut before every single match he plays – even when there’s a three day gap before games! Also, the 30-year-old has to be the first member of his national side to enter the field before play gets under way.
The Liverpool defender insists on being the last player to enter the field of play, and it even once went as far as him being late for a second-half in the Champions League because he was waiting for a teammate who hadn’t yet taken to the field.
The Spanish goalkeeper is known as one of the most superstitious footballers in the Real Madrid team. The number one used to wear his socks inside out for years, but abandoned that tactic as he felt it stopped working. Iker also taps his crossbar every time his team scores.
The Uruguayan kisses his wedding ring and then his wrist after every goal he scores for both club and country – because on his wrist he has a tattoo with the names of his children and then wedding ring, well, that’s obvious.
It’s believed that the 23-year-old receives a pep talk about life from his father, who is also his agent, whether it’s face-to-face or via a phone call. His father has been ever present in his footballing career, so this we can definitely believe!
