With only three more days left until the transfer window closes, the Fan Park crew has decided to take a look at possible transfers that could still happen before 5pm on Friday afternoon.
Oupa Manyisa (Mamelodi Sundowns)
The Orlando Pirates midfielder has long been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, and the deal looks set to enter into its final stages of the transition. With the window closing on Friday, the various parties could conclude the deal as soon as today.
Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs)
The goalkeeper, who will become a free agent in June this year, is yet to put pen to paper with the Amakhosi. Khune has been rumoured to have an offer from Sundowns, but that is as far as it has gone. Neither Chiefs nor Downs have rejected this claim, along with the player himself.
Jackson Mabokgwane (Mpumalanga Black Aces)
The Mpumalanga Black Aces goalkeeper has been tipped to be Orlando Pirates’ preferred shot-stopper as they look to add further depth to the team following Senzo Meyiwa’s tragic death last year. He is expected to be the mentor for Brighton Mhlongo if he arrives.
Wayne Sandilands (AmaZulu)
The shot-stopper was expected to form part of an exchange deal with Oupa Manyisa heading to Sundowns, but that deal has since fallen by the wayside. After having been told by Pitso Mosimane not to report for pre-season camp in January, Sandilands is looking for a new team. The latest reports have suggested that he is on the verge of joining AmaZulu.
Wayne Arendse (Platinum Stars)
Also considered surplus to requirements at Sundowns, Arendse has been linked with a possible switch to Platinum Stars. Should he arrive, he is expected to take the role Tshepo Gumede may leave, as the latter has been linked with joining Orlando Pirates. The Gumede deal is another that could still happen over the course of the next few days.
These are some big names on this list. Which deal do you think could happen before the window closes?
