Kermit Erasmus and Thamsanqa Gabuza were just a couple of players who starred for Orlando Pirates in their 3-0 win over CF Mounana in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Erasmus netted his first career hat-trick with three well taken goals, while Thamsanqa Gabuza put in a fine showing after being given a rare start by Eric Tinkler.
It seems the pair worked well upfront and managed to trouble the Mounana defence on numerous occasions and looked like they have been playing together for a while.
Tinkler usually goes with Erasmus and Lennox Bacela but this performance will help Gabuza stake a claim in the coach's thinking, as his physical approach to the game can be a real threat in Africa.
With Gabuza's ability to hassle defenders with his strength and Erasmus' good scoring-form, Tinkler should maybe try this combination more often.
Do you feel Erasmus and Gabuza should play together more often?
