Every World Cup tournament features an iconic mascot that represents the host country. Have you seen Russia's mascot for 2018?
Russia have introduced their official World Cup mascot and his name is Zabivaka, which means "the one who scores" when translated into English. The wolf, which is brown and white and has blue eyes, sports a kit in the Russian colours of red, blue and white, along with the words "Russia 2018".

According FIFA's official website, "the wolf will not only promote the event and entertain crowds at the stadiums, but also become an ambassador for Russia and a worldwide 'celebrity'.
"Zabivaka means 'the one who scores' in Russian, a very suitable name for this wolf who radiates fun, charm and confidence."
When South Africa hosted the World Cup in 2010, the mascot, which received rave reviews, was a yellow leopard named Zakumi with a green mane matching the colours of the country.

More recently, during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the mascot named Fuleco was a three-banded armadillo, which is native to the South American country.
