The story

Morocco's Women hosted the DR Congo ladies in the second international friendly in a space of a week, with last night's fixture being marred by uncomfortable scenes, in a match that ended 3-2 to hosts Morocco.

Things got heated in the hour-mark when DR Congo star, Ruth Kipoyi, was shown her marching orders after a brutal challenge on her Moroccan opponent.

After being shown red for the rash challenge, Kipoyi was confronted by a number of Moroccan players before she retaliated in brutal fashion.

A Morocco defender was one of the many who objected to Kipoyi's aggressive challenge, resulting in the pair pushing and shoving as the referee brandished a red card.

Another Morroco star got involved, attempting to move Kipoyi away before being punched in the face by the Galatasaray Women's striker.

The attacked Moroccan player immediately fell to the ground and got up to her knees when the medical team ran on to attend to her injuries.
