On 6 June we will see Juventus face off against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League final, but it's the battle between Giorgio Chiellini and Patrice Evra against former foe Luis Suarez that has come into the spotlight!
Let's revisit their past…
October 15 2011 – Suarez Vs Evra
After a Premier League game between Liverpool, Suarez's former club, and Manchester United, Patrice Evra's former club, the Uruguayan was charged for racially abusing the Frenchman. Suarez received an eight-game ban, and was fined £40,000. It escalated the next time the two met, as Suarez refused Evra's handshake, but after the Red Devils won that game, the Frenchman had the last laugh.
June 24 2014 – Suarez Vs Chiellini
In a World Cup group D match between Uruguay and Italy, Suarez made a meal of Chiellini, when he gouged his teeth into the defender's shoulder. FIFA took into consideration that it was the forward's third biting incident in his career, and he was banned for four months - during which he switched from Liverpool to Barca.
