Nabi: Magesi Is Always Difficult Against Big Teams

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi says it was important to secure maximum points against a Magesi side, who are difficult for the big teams.

The Soweto giants ended a run of back-to-back losses in the Betway Premiership as Ashley du Preez's second-half strike secured a 1-0 win over the Carling Knockout champions at the FNB Stadium.

Chiefs struggled for most of the first half, before Du Preez's introduction in the final 25 minutes sealed the result.

"It's true we knew that it was going to be a difficult game," Nabi told SuperSport after the game.

"Magesi is always difficult against big teams we saw that in the final of Carling against Pirates [Sundowns]. We knew it was going to be a difficult game.

"And as well even for ourselves, the thought of having lots of changes in the first line-up. We struggled a little bit in the first half to get on the first post to get going.

"But we were better in the second half. In this kind of game, you need just three points to get going."
