The Siya crew has been informed of a situation at Botswana Premier League club VTM FC, which has a few South African footballers, where players are waiting for their May salaries.
It's believed that players, both local and foreign, have not always received their salaries on time. As things stand, they are waiting to be paid for May.

Former Orlando Pirates players Rooi Mahamutsa and Sifiso Myeni, as well as ex-Free State Stars player Lucky Mokoena, are on their books, while Lesotho international Neo Mokhachane forms part of the side. Coach Reuben Chikoti is understood to also not have been paid his salary in full.
The Siya crew spoke to sources within the club who revealed that things have not been going well.
"I am one of the guys who are affected by this. The players from Botswana are affected and even some get paid half and others have not received money at all. It's a lot of us who have (been effected). They are late to pay their players. Sometimes they pay half, and some have not been paid in a month or two. He does not treat the players well," a source told the Siya crew.
Another source at the club revealed more to the Siya crew.
"The club is hiding things and they are acting like everything is going smooth, but that's not the case. What I can tell you is that, in terms of payment, it sometimes comes late. The players have not received money for May. Some got half and others did not get paid at all."

The Siya crew got in touch with VTM chairman Vincent Mafuta, who built the club from the ground up, and he explained the situation.
"They are good human beings and I have enjoyed working with them. We will sort them out. We are never 100 percent perfect. It can happen. Not that I am a bad person or I want them to suffer. There are some challenges here and there. We pay these guys in South African accounts, so it's like a Forex payment, but they are working in Botswana," Mafuta told Soccer Laduma.
"We took them South Africans when they did not have clubs and we took good care of them. It's only for one month and it's something we will try to get fixed in no time. There is no sponsor, which means I have to look for funds. Yes, maybe the salaries will come on the 1st, the 3rd or the 5th. But it's not to say that when they were here, there were no salaries or they were not paid. It's only this month (May). I don't think the team would have finished in the top six if things were not going well, Mafuta added"
