The story

The Euro 2024 tournament in Germany has enjoyed an entertaining start, with players and fans showing early signs of what could be a memorable month.

On the pitch, hosts Germany got off to a blinder with a 5-1 thrashing over a hapless Scotland side, while favourites France, England, Spain, and the Netherlands all picked up three points.

Off the field of play, fans have been having quite the time on the Deutschland streets. In Düsseldorf, sections of Austria and France supporters seemed to be having an amazing time.

In one video, a French fan was seen playing football with someone balancing six beers on their head! Take a look:

Here's a clip of an Austrian fan snapping a baguette in front two Frenchman before Austria went down 1-0 to Les Bleus:

Things weren't so friendly between English and Serbian, as sections of both sets of supporters were caught up in a brawl outside a pub in Gelsenkirchen:

Hungary striker, Martin Adam, became a trending topic on social media after making a substitute appearance for the Hungarians in their 3-1 loss to Switzerland.

The South Korean-based striker was subject to some trolling and ridicule online for his size and stature, standing at 190.5 cm and at 87kg's.

While there were a few who marveled at his size, many were quick to body shame the 29-year-old, who has been capped 22 times by Hungary, scoring three times.

"Of course one or two [memes] get back to me, usually I have good laugh. I was born like this. This is my body shape. I can't say I was this size when I was born, I can't change that, I can't change genetics. So yeah, that's all I can say about it," said Adam, in response to social media's reaction over his size.

Inter Milan and France striker Marcus Thuram was mistakenly called Kylian Mbappe by a French journalist, in a press conference before Les Bleus' narrow win over Austria.

Thuram jokingly clapped back at the journalist by saying he's more handsome than his captain and doesn't look like a ninja turtle:
