A former Al Ahly star has made a shock claim about Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau after the recent campaign.
The 30-year-old forward is heading into the final year of his contract with the CAF Champions League.
There were reports claiming that the former Brighton and Hove Albion forward would take a pay-cut to remain with the Egyptian giants.

"I feel that Percy Tau has nothing else to offer with Al Ahly Club. I hope I am wrong, but this is what I see," Sedik said per Al-Masry Al-Youm.
"The player's condition for a long time means that he no longer has anything to offer Al Ahly."
Tau, however, is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury during the international break this past week.
"The medical report we received from South Africa indicates that Tau has suffered a second-degree hamstring strain," Ahly's team doctor Ahmed Gaballah said, according to Ahram Online.
"Upon his arrival in Cairo, Tau will undergo further tests and scans to determine the exact extent of the injury and guide his treatment programme."
Tau was an unused substitute during South Africa's 3-1 victory over Zimbabwe in a 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
