Al Ahly are reportedly exploring the option of selling one of their star attackers after tension arose following his public praise for ex-boss Pitso Mosimane.

According to Mobtada, the Club of the Century president Mahmoud El-Khatib has made an enquiry on the status of star attacker Mohamed Magdy Morsy, also known as Afsha, within the team.
The Egyptian executive's inquisition is as a consequence of the forward receiving offers from the Qatari Stars League and the Saudi Pro League. Ahly boss Marcel Koller is, however, believed to still be mulling over whether he wants to sell the player or not.
The Egypt international is said to currently be under evaluation, but an exit is not being ruled out if Ahly's Swiss tactician believes he can longer get the best out of him.

The same report also claims that tensions between the 20-capped international and his manager have been strained in recent weeks after the playmaker was speaking to the media praising his former managers Mosimane and Rene Weiler.
Afsha's comments reportedly angered Koller, which could explain why Ahly are considering his sale.

Since joining the record African champions in 2019, Afsha arguably played his best football under Mosimane. The Egyptian scored 19 goals and picked up 18 assists in 90 matches with the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns boss in charge.
