Legendary SuperSport sportscaster Phumlani Msibi has sadly passed away.
The media company confirmed the news late on Friday evening, with Msibi passing away at the age of 57 after a short illness.
"SuperSport is saddened to learn of the passing of legendary sports commentator, presenter and anchor Phumlani Msibi," It was announced on X.
"Our heartfelt condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues following this great loss."
Msibi, who was born in Durban,
started at the SABC before making his way to SuperSport where he was ring announcer in the boxing field while he also made his name in the South African football scene.
