Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Risk Losing Goalkeeper Washington Arubi

Washington Arubi

An agent representing Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament award winner Washington Arubi has commented on the goalkeeper's future ahead of the new season.

Following his move from SuperSport United to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in October last year, Arubi has had an impressive season with the team after making a whopping 28 league appearances, while he also played in all five matches in the Nedbank Cup as the club won the prestigious competition.

While it has been reported by the Siya crew that the club has been keen on extending the Zimbabwean shot-stopper's contract. The one-year deal he signed when he joined the club will be expiring at the end of this month, with the player's agent Michael Ngobeni confirming that no new deal has been agreed to yet.

"I can confirm that there is still no new deal for Washington Arubi at TTM, and as things stand, he will be out of contract at the end of the month. But he is not worried about that at the moment. He is on holiday and just enjoying some time off after doing so well this past season.  His mood is very high, and he is very excited about how he has done and what he has achieved," said Ngobeni.

According to sources, the 35-year-old has attracted interest from a few clubs in the DStv Premiership and that TTM could be at risk of losing him.
