Section 10 as the player is affectionately known, spoke to Soccer Laduma in edition 964 and said he appreciates those fans who have been advocating for him to play since his arrival at the Mayfair-based outfit in 2014.
"The fans have always been there for me, they've always believed in me. They recognised my effort, even though I was not getting much game-time and that made me develop the hunger to play.
"If people are fighting for you so much, you have to put up an even greater fight on your side," the former SuperSport United development player said.
Qalinge has featured in 10 games for the Buccaneers this season, having made the starting line-up in five of those games and coming off the bench in the other five.
The former AmaZayoni man is a firm fan-favourite amongst the Ghost, with his most recent dribbling wizardry being shown off in a Nedbank Cup tie against Kaizer Chiefs.
"I can only say that I appreciate them for what they did for me and the only way I can return the favour is by playing good football and making sure that when I play, I don't only play for the team but also for the supporters," Qalinge told Soccer Laduma.
