Free State Stars have exercised their one-year option on the contract of Tshepo Motsoeneng for him to stay with the club.
Motsoeneng did fairly well in his first season with Ea Lla Koto, despite the strong competition for the number one jersey in the team's goalkeeping department.
The news of the player's extended stay with the Bethlehem outfit ends speculation that he would be on his way out at the end of the month.
NFD side Roses United is one of the clubs that were looking at the player for their objective to win promotion to the PSL next season.
Motsoeneng is currently with Stars in China for the Shanghai International Football tournament. Still at Stars, the team's other goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene is still linked with a move away from the club. The Zambian has attracted interest from some of the big clubs in the league.
