Mamelodi Sundowns started the season with some patchy form but since coach, Pitso Mosimane, has been playing Arendse in central defence the team seems to have turned things around.
Arendse's introduction sparked the Brazilians to go on a ten game unbeaten run and Zwane thinks that his fellow defender has been a bit underrated.
"Wayne is one of the guys that I take inspiration from. I think he is now in his third season at Sundowns.
"He never played as much as he would have liked. Nevertheless, you never saw him moaning, being angry or not giving his best at training.
"He is the same person every day. I think he deserves everything that has been coming his way this season.
"Unfortunately he is a bit underrated, but he is a great player and one of the best defenders we have in the team. Look at the games he has played – he added so much value."
