Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siyabonga Nkosi, is on course to repay the faith shown in him by the management of the club following the extension of his contract recently. It was revealed by the Siya crew that Nkosi has signed a new deal with the club. Nkosi's representative, Josiah Mphono, confirmed to Soccer Laduma that the 32-year-old is happy with his new two-year deal at the Amakhosi. "Siya signed a two-year deal. It was easy for us because the player wants to play and the club wants him in the team. The coach wants the player in his team. From our side it was easy in terms of the negotiations because it's one of those deals that you sit down and reach an agreement without complications. The player was happy and the deal was concluded. They (Chiefs) were happy with our proposal and the deal was done smoothly. Both parties were happy. We gave them our proposal and they gave us theirs. We had discussions and both parties were happy and the player signed. It's a straight two-year deal. Initially they wanted to give him a one-year deal, but our proposal was for two years. They had their questions and we answered them. They understood. All in all the negotiations went well. The club and the player are happy. The player has always been working hard. He has shown in the past that he is trying to make a difference whenever he is playing. He doesn't get to start games sometimes, but that doesn't dampen his spirit. He is working hard at all times and wants his job to do the talking for him. He is an experienced player and knows how football works. He can't go around asking why he doesn't play much. He knows that at the end of the day each and every player that is on the field represents the club," said Mphono. Nkosi has less than 10 starts to his name for the Amakhosi so far in the current campaign. The Newcastle-born player contributed to the team's success with the league and Nedbank Cup double in his first year, during his second spell with the club in the 2012/13 season.
