Polokwane City coach, Boebie Solomons, insists that striker, Esau Kanyenda, is staying with the club.
The Malawian will see his contract coming to a close at the end of this month, however, the coach says the player will be going nowhere.
Although Kanyenda started 19 games for the PSL rookies and found the net six times this past season, this couldn't be seen as a good record considering his experience.
"No, there's nothing new happening in the club at the moment you know. We just finished our play-offs and we're in our off-season. Thapelo Tshilo is one of the players who will see their contracts coming to an end, but we haven't started negotiating."
"As far as we're concerned, we have our targets but we cannot reveal names hence we haven't contacted any of the players. Benson Mhlongo is a good player, but it's just a rumour for now linking him with us. Coming to Esau, he's still our player and he's staying with us. There's nothing to discuss with him, we're very much confident in him that he'll come back for pre-season," said Mzala.
The crew reported a week ago that Tshilo was linked with a move to Moroka Swallows, however, the source indicated that the player will wait to finalise this after the play-offs.
Sources close to the Polokwane-based club reveal that management were waiting to see if the club could remain in the PSL next season.
The crew will monitor the situations and keep you updated.
