Orlando Pirates, have unveiled their new kit for the upcoming 2014/2015 campaign on Thursday evening.
adidas with the help of Buccaneers duo, Daine Klate and Happy Jele, unveiled their new home and away strip at Orlando Stadium.
The unveiling comes a week after, Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs unveiled their new strip, and the Buccaneers and adidas have brought back the red away away kit, which they previously launched in the 2008/2009 season.
The white collar also makes return to both home and away strips, after last being seen in the 2011 75th anniversary edition.
adidas PR Manager, Gugu Ntuli, believes the relationship with the club helped the designers create something special.
"We are very excited for this season's Orlando Pirates kit," said Ntuli
"Our strong relationship with this legendary Club has allowed for our designers to create something special for our players and their fans."
The new strip incorporates the latest adidas technologies to ensure it gives the Buccaneers players a competitive edge on the field.
You will be able to see Pirates in action in their new strip on July 26, when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium.
adidas also confirmed that the green Pirates jersey, that was leaked last a few days ago, was just a teaser for the fans and players.
"We worked closely with adidas to create this fun teaser, where our players genuinely thought they would be playing in a green home jersey for this season. It was all for a good cause in the end and our players appreciated their new black kit even more." added the Brands's Activation Manager, Tokoloho Moeketsi.
