Orlando Pirates declare all due process must be followed in Tendai Ndoro case

Orlando Pirates declare all due process must be followed in Tendai Ndoro case

Orlando Pirates have said that the matter involving Tendai Ndoro and his eligibility to play has not affected the club's preparations in the league.

Furthermore, the Soweto giants have called for all due processes to take their course in resolving the issue.

It was the Soweto giants who first launched an official protest against Ajax Cape Town for fielding Ndoro ahead of their league encounter which was in contravention of FIFA statutes, which state that player can't play for three different clubs in one season.

Despite the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) declaring Ndoro eligible to play for Ajax, the case was appealed by the PSL resulting in the matter being escalated to FIFA and subsequently handed to the South African Football Association.

Now with the verdict yet to be given by South African football authorities, speculation on the possible consequences facing the Urban Warriors include the chance of points being deducted for matches where Ndoro was fielded and awarded to those teams.

This, however, has neither affected Pirates' preparations nor has it changed the club's mandate for the season. Instead, the Buccaneers have called for all processes to proceed.

"We can't comment extensively on the case as the case has not been finalised. All we can say for now it that due processes need to be followed," said the club's Administrative Chief Whip, Floyd Mbele.

Meanwhile, the team registered a 2-1 victory over AmaZulu. The Sea Robbers are still three points behind log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns and have three games left in the current campaign.
