Man of the Match Nazier Allie, was happy with Ajax Cape Town's performance but went on to praise Mamelodi Sundowns for their win at Athlone Stadium.
The Ajax defender was happy with the rest of the teams work rate but believed Sundowns' individual brilliance saw them run out 1-0 victors on the night
"We had to obtain, they had brilliant strikers, they had individual players with skill that can change a match, the goal they scored was a brilliant goal.
"I was a key player but the whole team did well, we can take a lot of credit and move forward to the next game.
"We knew that they were going to come at us in the second half, so we tried to catch them on the break and put the ball behind them, and obviously they did well at the back"
