AmaZulu FC defender Kgotso Moleko weighs in on old debate in South African football after comments made by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.
The national team mentor made it clear he would like to use more youthful players in the squad as he aims to rebuild Bafana.
Moleko when asked about whether he is still hopeful to play in the national team, but Broos' comments has made it pretty clear.
"To be honest I won't say that, because you heard the coach said he doesn't want to use old players, so I don't see myself there but if it happens, I will go," Moleko addressed media on Wednesday.
The former Chiefs defender argues that football shouldn't limit players because of age.
"Not really, South African football it so nice hey, there's lot of talent and it's not about age, it's about how you do on the field hey," - he added.
"It all about performance, if i can still play give me an opportunity because maybe I can do better than a 17-year-old, even overseas it not about age, look at Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo still got it at their age."
