Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will battle one another in an attempt to secure the signature of Chippa United's star-midfielder, Thamsanqa Sangweni.

Sangweni is believed to be somewhat unhappy with his current situation at the Chilli Boys, with the club having faced financial difficulties over the past few months.
Last month, in edition 961, the Siya crew revealed that Sangweni is an option for Kaizer Chiefs as the Naturena-based outfit plans to bolster the midfield for next season.
However, it seems as though Chiefs are not the only side watching Sangweni's situation with interest.
According to Siya sources, Bucs are also aware of the 26-year-old's circumstances and could make a bid for him during the off-season.
The midfielder has represented Bafana Bafana in the past and is still considered one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Mzansi. This season, he has expressed the form that prompted his move from AmaZulu to Mamelodi Sundowns in 2012 and his displays on the field have not gone unnoticed.
"I can tell you that the interest is very high and Pirates really want to bring him to the team. They want to beef up the squad at the start of the next season and Thami is one of their targets," a Soccer Laduma source explained.
Chippa's current head coach, Dan Malesela, has been linked with a move to Bucs' technical team, a move that could influence Sangweni's future.
The Mayfair-based outfit already have an older sibling of the Sangweni brothers in Siyabonga in their ranks, after he joined the Soweto giants in 2011 from Golden Arrows.
