Orlando Pirates' chairman, Irvin Khoza, has called upon South Africa's football fans to help the police find Senzo Meyiwa's killer, and to do so quickly.
Mzansi's football fraternity is still trying to come to terms with the 27-year-old's untimely passing following a shooting incident which left him dead on Sunday evening, and an emotional Khoza addressed the media this morning.
Khoza, who was visibly saddened by the loss of the club's captain, says that he hopes Meyiwa's killers will be brought to justice swiftly.
The Pirates' boss said, "I cannot find it possible that 24 hours can go past without us knowing who killed Senzo. I'm pleading with all the supporters in every corner of this country to help us.
"I don't want to speculate, I want to know who killed Senzo, and after that I want to know why. Right now though, we're thinking about his family.
"If Senzo can die this way, then how safe are we?"
Khoza also explained that the details of the goalkeeper's funeral are likely to be confirmed tomorrow, though it is thought it is due to take place this weekend now that the Soweto Derby has been postponed.
