Highlands Park's director, Brad Kaftel, has denied a report that his club is allegedly in talks with Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, who's leading Moroka Swallows' attempt to return to the top flight.

In fact, Kaftel's official statement to Soccer Laduma makes it thoroughly clear that there's been absolutely no communication with Lesufi.
"We've never had a conversation or met Lesufi," he said. "I don't even know who he is. Moroka Swallows' demise is not my problem. Many big clubs all over the world have found their way in lower leagues.
"It took us ten years to reach the PSL. What we really want is to make Highlands a sustainable PSL team for at least the next fifty years. The team must be a force to be reckoned with, always in the top eight and never in the relegation zone. That's the plan."

Kaftel also says money was never his prime objective. "If we'd done this for the money, we'd never have started. Probably fifty percent of our motivation is the community. It's about the passion, enjoyment and for the kids," he concluded.
