Ntwari Considering Chiefs Exit Amid Growing Interest?

Ntwari Considering Chiefs Exit Amid Growing Interest?

Following reports that Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has attracted interest from clubs in both the PSL and abroad, sources have indicated that the Rwandan international may be considering requesting a release from his contract.

Ntwari, who joined Amakhosi in July 2024 on a four-year deal, initially featured regularly under coach Nasreddine Nabi.

However, an injury sustained during Rwanda's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in November saw him sidelined, resulting in a drop down the pecking order.

He now finds himself behind Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen in the club's goalkeeping ranks.

While indications have been that Chiefs have had no immediate plans to part ways with Ntwari, as reported in the latest Soccer Laduma newspaper, fresh information suggests that the 25-year-old may be seeking an early exit to explore opportunities elsewhere.

Despite his limited game time at club level, Ntwari continues to play a key role for the Rwandan national team and has featured prominently in the recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

His consistent performances on the international stage have reportedly attracted interest from clubs in Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, as well as in the Betway Premiership.

With the transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether Chiefs will entertain the possibility of releasing Ntwari or if the player will push for an amicable exit.

The coming weeks could prove crucial in determining his future at Naturena.

"He is an ambitious player who wants to see himself excelling in whatever he does and wherever he plays. That's why he gets concerned when he isn't playing. There is that possibility, for him to see if he can push for an amicable exit to explore opportunities elsewhere," said the source.
