The former Fenerbahce and Eintracht Frankfurt left-back transitioned into management after a solid playing career across Europe, including stints in Germany, Greece, and Turkey.
As a manager, he gained prominence for leading Alanyaspor and Yeni Malatyaspor to record-high league finishes, including Europa League qualifications and Turkish Cup finals. In 2020, he took charge of Turkish giants Fenerbahce, finishing third and drastically improving both offensive and defensive metrics.
More recently, Bulut impressed in the Championship with Cardiff City, guiding the team from 21st to 12th in just one season while improving both their goal output and possession-based play.
