The 2023 Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 Soccer and Netball Champions will take on Gauteng Select Player teams on the day.
The legend, famously known as 16V for his silky skills revealed that the winners will pocket all the money.
"Last year's winners will play against a select side chosen by coaches. We need a minimum of one or two players from each team. The winners take all, but the money doesn't go to coaches, it will be paid direct to players. We will have parents contact to see if they received it. The select players will have any coach chosen by the coaches and the same applies to netball," Khumalo told the Siya crew.
The communities will also benefit from the tournament. The vision of the tournament is to get the communities behind this initiative in order to produce talent that will be "Future Soccer Entrepreneurs."
Khumalo insists that the main tournament will still take place in August as it usually does.
"The reason we decided to have this tournament is because there is a gap between now and August and this void has to be closed and that's why we had this format and involved the Gauteng government."
Meanwhile, Khumalo will conduct a coaching workshop before the tournament to empower the coaches with further knowledge of the game. He hopes local coaches will have at least a Safa D licence for this initiative.
