Let's take a closer look at what they had to say...

Comments

Amakhosi have already signed seven new players this transfer window ahead of the new season, head coach Molefi Ntseki has shared some insight into the club's recruitment plans.

Although Chiefs general manager Bobby Motaung hinted at the club bringing in another striker, Ntseki revealed that's happy to work with the current squad in his disposal.

Ntseki also pointed out that there's 10 games before the window closes in September and that if there's a need to beef up the squad before then, they'll do so.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Is Chiefs' Chequebook Closed? Ntseki Update" story:

"Please tell us when that cheque book opened? Because we have never heard of Chiefs competing in the transfer market," says Dominate-downs.

"Another dry season is already loading, Chiefs needs a prolific striker like Thembi Kgatlana and one quality defensive midfielder like Cele because they failed to rope in Aubaas from TS Galaxy," says silungilemyeki017.

"Mr. Ntseki, out of those ten games you are talking about, you must win at least six games if you feel there's no need of an additional striker. You see, some of us we are willing to give you a chance rather than label you a failure even way before we start with the official games.

"Pre-season friendly loses do not faze me one bit. Mr Ntseki, this must however not lull you into a false sense of security because believe me you, we Amakhosi supporters will turn on the heat if results are not forthcoming," says gsithole.

"Is there a cheque book? Lets first establish that before we discuss closing or opening. It would be pointless to debate opening or closing of something that doesn't exist," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.

After Banyana Banyana made history in the Women's World Cup by progressing to the knockout rounds, the players are set to receive a guaranteed R1.1 million each in prize money, as things stand.

This money is on top of what they already have, as per the promises made to them prior to the World Cup in Australia and New-Zealand.

Prior to the start of the global showpiece, it was confirmed by FIFA that each and every player at the tournament is guaranteed to take home R572 000 for participating.

It was further revealed that for each player whose team advanced to the last 16, the prize money would increase to R1.14 million, which guarantees a big payday for Banyana's stars.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "R1.1m For Each Banyana Star" story:

"FIFA must deposit the funds directly into the player's accounts. SAFA must continue to suffer," says mohlala.ee.

"I salute FIFA with the idea of paying players direct to their account, we are tired of a greedy SAFA chowing money from FIFA," says tshepangmogapi.

"You deserve it girls, you are better than Bafana," says thamivutisanikhosa.

"You didn't disappoint us and you deserve those millions," says Bucs365.

"Well done to our girls, keep on surprising us," says Weissel A.

"Get that cash ladies. I want to see SAFA broke. Kade beyidla le Mali mahala. Uma ningafika kuma-semifinals, kukhona abazoquleka kwi-SAFA," (They've spending this money for a long time. If you guys reach the semi-finals, some SAFA members will faint), says lwazihnzimande.

"I salute you banyana well done," says Mooki.

"Congratulations to the ladies and all the best against Netherlands, if you can improve on defending, I'm sure you can beat them," says Ghost1.

"Well done ladies. It's a first for South Africa to make it this far in a football World Cup," says oupa.phiri27.
