Is Chiefs' Chequebook Closed? Ntseki Update

With seven new players having already made their way to Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the new campaign, head coach Molefi Ntseki has given insight into more of Amakhosi's recruitment plans.

It appears that Chiefs are content with the recruitments they have made in the off season with Given Msimango, Pule Mmodi, Edson Castillo, Ranga Chivaviro, Tebogo Potsane, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Mduduzi Mdantsane all making their way to Naturena.

Football Manager Bobby Motaung has revealed the club's desire to rope in an additional striker but ahead of their match against Chippa United on Sunday, head coach Molefi Ntseki is happy to work with the current squad at his disposal.

"Look, the window is closing towards the end of September, and we are going to play 10 or more games before the window closes and as of now, we are happy with the squad that we have recruited and if there will be a need to beef up the squad, we'll definitely do that," he told journalists at the club's media open day.

"Remember, at the beginning of the season all that we have we'll be giving them a chance and profiling them accordingly. We are just hopeful that they will hit the ground running and that we'll get a good performance from all the players that we have in the team," he continued.

Ntseki and his Chiefs troops will be hoping to get their season off to a positive start against the Chilli Boys at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
