Out-going Kaizer Chiefs experienced midfielder, Josta Dladla, has revealed to Soccer Laduma that some of his teammates used to laugh at him when he was sent to play in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge.
Dladla struggled to break into coach Stuart Baxter's starting line-up but that didn't stop him from continuing trying to impress the Englishman, who has also left the club.
In his interview in this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, Dladla opens up about the challenging situation he found himself in and being laughed at by some of his teammates who were enjoying regular game-time.
"Some players used to even laugh at me. They said I was playing with the kids! Players can be mean and insensitive. Some players would laugh because they knew they'd be in the team every week while I was working so hard. You just have to look at where you are and concentrate on yourself.
"There are insensitive people out there. You might end up telling them s**t. Focus on your job, because if the coach finds out you're negative, he can use it against you. Then these things can come back to haunt you. People will say, "Who the hell does Josta think he is? The coach tells him to play MDC and he says he won't do it". You have to be really careful in everything you do in football and in life," said Josta.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder is currently looking for a new home, as he maintains that he still has a couple of seasons in the elite in him before hanging up his boots.
What do you think of the situation Josta was in and how he handled it?
