CAF Champions League

Teams: FC Nouadhibou v Mamelodi Sundowns

Date: 24 February 2024

Venue: Stade Cheikha Boidiy

Time: 18h00

Sundowns have already played two games in a space of three days since resuming against Orlando Pirates in a 1-1 draw in the DStv Premiership and hammered NB La Masia 6-1 in the Nedbank Cup last 32 in mid-week.

The last time the Brazilians were in CAF Champions League campaign, they got back on track with a narrow 1-0 win over Pyramids on 19 December after dropping points in two successive games.

Masandawana are top of Group A with seven points, although they are equal on points with TP Mazembe, with only two games left to play.

Nouadhibou, on the other hand, have also played two matches since their restart in mid February which were back-to-back wins over SNIM and Garde Nationale, the last of which was on 18 February.

The Mauritanian side, unbeaten in the league, currently top their domestic table on goal difference, although they have played one extra game than second-placed AS Douanes.

Nouadhibou, who were previously beaten 2-0 by TP Mazembe in their last Champions League game on 19 December, trail Sundowns by three points at the bottom of the group.

Here's how they line up:

Mamelodi Sundowns:  Williams, Mebusa, Kekana, Modiba, Lunga, Zungu, Mokoena, Allende, Zwane, Sirino, Shalulile

Subs: D.Onyango, Mdunyelwa, Lorch, Boutouil, Esquivel, Ribeiro, Mbule, Matthes, Maboe
