Orlando Pirates return to domestic action as they start their Betway Premiership campaign against Chippa United this evening.

The Buccaneers have getting a lot of football under their belts in the last few weeks, competing in both the MTN8 and the CAF Champions League.

Jose Riveiro's charges advanced to the final of the MTN8 after overcoming SuperSport United in the last eight before eliminating Cape Town City before the international break.

However, Pirates were involved in continental action over the weekend after defeating Jwaneng Galaxy 2-0 in the first leg of the second preliminary round.

Chippa, meanwhile, are playing their first competitive fixture of the 2024/25 season after the start of the league season was delayed.

The Chilli Boys have been able to bolster their squad in recent months, which includes bringing in Andile Jali, Azola Matrose, Siphelo Baloni (loan) and Aphelele Teto (loan) from Livingston FC.
