African Football League
Teams: Al Ahly v Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 01 November 2023
Venue: Cairo International Stadium
Time: 20h00
The Brazilians currently hold a slight advantage in the tie after defeating the Egyptian giants 1-0 on aggregate in the first leg on Sunday.
Al Ahly had complained about the match officials after the game, as they felt a number of decisions did not go their.
Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena was not particularly pleased with the complaints and made his feelings clear on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilians' last visit to Cairo ended in a 2-2 draw in last season's CAF Champions League group stages, a result that would seal a spot in the final.
Sundowns, however, have only secured win over Al Ahly in Egypt, which came in 2022 under the reign of Rulani Mokwena.
Here's how they line up:
Al Ahly: El Shenawy, Rabia, Abdelmonem, Akram, Maaloul, Marawan, Dieng, Emam, El Shahat, Tau, Kahraba
Mamelodi Sundowns: Williams, Mvala, Coetzee, Boutouil, Coetzee, Mudau, Kekana, Modiba, Allende, Zwane, Sirino, Maseko
Subs: D.Onyango, De Reuck, Lebusa, B. Onyango, Nku, Zungu, Mashego, Mendieta, Mkhulise, Mabena, Maema, Maboe
