Bafana Bafana will be looking to end their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on a high when they host Morocco on Saturday evening at FNB Stadium.

Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier

Teams: South Africa v Morocco

Date: 17 June 2023

Venue: FNB Stadium

Time: 17h00

Bafana booked their spot in the Afcon finals next year in Ivory Coast with a match to spare in Group K, after bouncing back from a 2-2 draw at home against Liberia and won 2-1 against the same opponent in Monrovia in the same week in March.

Hugo Broos' charges currently find themselves second in the section with four points, two points behind leaders Morocco.

As for the Atlas Lions, they are also already through to the Afcon tournament as they maintained their 100 percent winning record with 2-0 win over Liberia back in June last year.

Since becoming the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year in the November - December tournament, Morocco has been playing international friendlies, where they beat Brazil for the first time in their history in March.

Walid Regragui's charges also played an international friendly on Monday, where they were held to a goalless draw by Cape Verde in preparation for Bafana.

Morocco, unlike Bafana, will have one more game to wrap up their Afcon qualifiers campaign against Liberia in September and will be guaranteed to finish top of the group if they avoid defeat.

Bafana will be motivated to turn the tables after losing 2-1 to the Atlas Lions in the opening group game, where the North African giants came from behind to win following an early opener by Lyle Foster.

Here's how they line up:

South Africa:  Williams, Morena, Xulu, Mvala, Maela, Mokoena, Aubaas, Zwane, Mayambela, Tau, Lepasa

Subs: Goss, Mothwa, Mobbie, Hlongwane, Saleng, Mailula, Blom, Le Roux, Kekana

Morocco: El Kajoui, Hakimi, Mazraoui, Aguerd, Saiss, Maleh, Louza, Ziyech, Aboukhlal, El Idrissi, En-Nesyri
