Mamelodi Sundowns will be seeking to extend their lead at the top of the log standings on Saturday, April 14 when they host Bidvest Wits. Masandawana will be looking for some breathing space after second-placed Orlando Pirates drew their midweek encounter against SuperSport United. However. Wits suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ajax Cape Town over the past week and are in need of the three points on offer.

In the English Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur will host Manchester City. The Citizens have had a tough few weeks with two defeats in the UEFA Champions League against Liverpool and a loss in the league in the derby against Manchester United. Pep Guardiola will be looking to get his side back in the driving seat, however, Spurs are no walkovers.

Useful facts: Masandawana came from behind to defeat Chippa United 2-1 last Sunday. Downs' hot property, Percy Tau, was on song again when he scored his 11th goal of the season, helping his side secure the vital three points. The log leaders will hope to continue with their impressive form when they take on defending champions Wits. The Students got off to a bad start to the campaign but have recovered remarkably and are now fighting for a Top Eight spot. They go into this match having claimed victory over Maritzburg United in their previous league outing. The last time these two teams went head-to-head, the Pretoria side won 2-0 in the first round of the season.

Match 1 Soccer 6 Pool 14 April S6 V2 P2

League Rankings: Spurs 4th Man City 1st

Useful facts: Man City's celebrations have been put on hold following last weekend's Manchester derby result. All the Citizens needed, was just three points to be confirmed as the new 2017/18 PL champions. However, it wasn't to be when cross-town rivals, Manchester United, pulled off an impressive come-from-behind victory to stun the high-flying Citizens with a 3-2 scoreline. As things currently stand, Pep Guardiola's charges will look to bounce back to winning ways when they take on the Lily Whites at Wembley.
