The new and improved PlayStation Plus has officially launched in South Africa and boasts an impressive line-up of games.
A couple of months back, the revamp of PlayStation's subscription service was announced and fans can now choose three different options.
If you have an active subscription, you will automatically be migrated to the PS Plus Essential Plan, which remains pretty much unchanged in both benefits and costs.
PS Plus Extra is the next step up on the ladder, and offers access to the larger PlayStation Plus Collection, exclusive content and access to the free monthly games.
A yearly subscription will cost R1239, which is close to R500 more per year. The premium plan, PS Plus Deluxe, is just under R200 more per year, at R1429.
This plan gives you access to all of the above, along with a solid game catalog including some new and popular games, along with some classics from previous generations.
If you have an active plan, you can upgrade for the remainder of your subscription at a pro-rata cost, which is a great way to try it out and see which plan is best for you.
