Mokwena was surprisingly let go by the Brazilians this week despite having guided the team to yet another league title defence, while he was also rewarded with the Coach of the Year accolade by the PSL at the end of the season awards.

While the 37-year-old tactician is understood to have attracted interest from several clubs from around the world, it is Wydad Casablanca who have been his admirers for some time as previously reported by the Siya crew, who are showing serious interest in his services.
"In coach Rulani, Wydad are seeing another success story in the way that coach Pitso Mosimane achieved greatness in Egypt with Al Ahly. The club (Wydad) has been closely monitoring coach Rulani and is serious in luring him to Morocco. They are willing to pay a lot of money just to get him so he can contribute to the success of the club," said the source.
